【17.04~12 “IN THE ZONE” at 綜合藝術茶房喫茶茶会記】
１２月まで毎月、様々なフィールドで活動活躍されるアーティストたちと、綜合藝術茶房喫茶茶会記の空間を共にします。みなに同様の企画主旨をお伝えの上、それぞれのアーティストたちと、個々のアプローチで、互いにとってチャレンジとなる場として挑みます。
茶会記店主の福地さんの御厚意によって、年間を通して会場を提供戴くこととなりました。茶会記は2013年に、わたしがはじめて主催企画をさせて戴いた会場で、今年は原点回帰する気持ちで茶会記での企画をお願い致しました。今の自身の表現と、新しい人と出会い、対話をすることに誠実にありたいと思います。
是非私たちの対話を一緒に共有して下さい。

Following presentations in Montreal by several butoh dancers over the years – including Kazuo Ohno, Ushio Amagatsu (Sankai Juku), Yoshito Ohno and Min Tanaka – as well as the contemporary Japanese dance pioneer Saburo Teshigawara (Karas dance company), Dansu is now introducing a new generation of contemporary dance artists. Three companies – each with its own distinct style and aesthetics – will provide a taste of up-and-coming choreography from Japan. Kaori Seki will be presenting a piece on slowness, aromas and a unique form of primitive movements. Renowned for an approach that is always closely tied to words, Zan Yamashita from Kyoto will be directing the dancer Kim Itoh in a performance that conveys a strong physical presence. Mikiko Kawamura, the enfant terrible of street-based dance who also creates the video imagery and music for most of her works, will be featured in an extremely energetic solo imbued with pop culture. Marked by a bold, contemporary approach and choreography that more than fills the performance space, the works in this program will introduce Montrealers to another facet of Japanese dance. The Quebec dance scene will also benefit from the presence of these choreographers with a series of related activities such as films and workshops.

Acclaimed by the critics, this delicate yet powerful work places Mikiko Kawamura centre stage, dancing and roaming through the space.
A powerful work that gives lighting pride of place, its poetic title evokes the brightest star in the Hydra constellation. Staged by the artist herself, the space is divided into nine separate squares, the lighting falling on one square at a time as Mikiko Kawamura dances and roams through the space. An enfant terrible of Japanese performance who started out in street dance, Mikiko Kawamura creates the videos and music for most of her works. Here she performs a solo of dazzling energy, imbued with pop culture.

Mikiko Kawamura is a rising star of Japanese dance. She started out with breakdance, performing in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. Her creative process begins with a vision or a group of images which she transforms into a stage piece. She works comprehensively and experimentally, doing the music, lighting and visual design herself, attempting to express parallel worlds and overlooked alternatives through choreography.
In spite of her young age, she has won a number of significant awards, including the Outstanding New Artist Prize, New Choreographer Division at the Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2011 competition. A year later she won the New Artist Prize at the Dance ga Mitai! New Figure Dance Festival 10 and the 2012 Harajuku Performance + Dommune Award, as well as the Japan Dance Forum Award in 2013.
The Yokohama Arts Foundation presented her solo Alphard at the Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2012. After a performance in the Japan Focus program at the Dance Triennial Tokyo 2012, Kawamura was invited to the Malta Festival Poznan (main curator Romeo Castellucci) in Poznan, Poland in June 2013. It went on to the Perforacije Festival in Zagreb, Croatia and to Hanoi, Vietnam for the Europe Meets Asia in Contemporary Dance event in September 2013.
Her collaboration with other artists includes euphoria with Antti Seppanen, a Yokohama Dance Collection exchange program with the Jojo Oulu dance festival in Finland. Her work It’s not us, it’s only glass was part of the Croatia-Japan Domino project with Alen and Nenad Sinkauz (musicians), Ivana Sajko (novelist) and Ivan Marušić-Klif (multimedia artist).

Après la venue à Montréal de plusieurs représentants de la danse butō – Kazuo Ohno, Sankai Juku (Ushio Amagatsu), Yoshito Ohno, Muteki-Sha, Tanaka Min, etc.. – et du pionnier de la danse contemporaine nippone Saburo Teshigawara (compagnie Karas), Dansu introduit une nouvelle génération d’artistes actuels. Trois compagnies aux esthétiques distinctes et singulières donnent un aperçu de la relève chorégraphique au Japon. Kaori Seki développe un travail sur la lenteur, les odeurs et une forme unique de mouvements primitifs. Connu pour son approche très incarnée du texte, Zan Yamashita de Kyoto met ici en scène le danseur Kim Itoh dans une performance à la forte présence physique. Mikiko Kawamura, l’enfant terrible de la danse issue du « street dance », qui crée la matière vidéo et musicale de la plupart de ses pièces, livre un solo d’une énergie foudroyante, teinté de culture pop. Audace, contemporanéité, et présence dans l’espace sont au rendez-vous dans cette programmation qui permettra de faire connaître une autre facette de la danse japonaise à Montréal tout en faisant bénéficier le milieu québécois de la présence de ces chorégraphes à travers des activités, ateliers, films, etc.

Saluée par la critique, cette œuvre délicate et puissante place Mikiko Kawamura au cœur de la scène, voyageant et dansant au travers de cet espace.
Une œuvre puissante qui confère à la lumière une place toute spéciale. Par son titre poétique, évoquant l’étoile la plus brillante de la constellation Hydra. Par la mise en scène, créée par l’artiste elle-même, divisant l’espace en neuf carrés, séparés les uns des autres par les éclairages au sein desquels Mikiko Kawamura voyage et danse.

Mikiko Kawamura
Mikiko Kawamura est une étoile montante en danse japonaise. Elle entame sa carrière comme danseuse de rue dans le quartier Shinjuku de Tokyo. En création, elle transforme une vision ou des images en production pour la scène. L’artiste signe la conception sonore, les éclairages et la scénographie dans un processus pluriel et expérimental. Elle cherche à mettre en chorégraphie des univers parallèles et alternatifs.
Malgré son jeune âge, elle a gagné de nombreux prix importants, y compris le prix pour le meilleur artiste émergent dans la catégorie chorégraphe émergent à la compétition Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2011. Un an plus tard, elle gagne le même prix au Dance ga Mitai! New Figure Dance Festival 10, le prix Harajuku Performance + Dommune en 2012, ainsi que le prix Japan Dance Forum en 2013.
Le Yokohama Art Foundation présente son solo Alphard au Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2012. 1990年生まれ、16歳からダンスを始める。日本女子体育大学（舞踊学専攻）卒業。2011年より本格的に作品を発表し、2012年初演の『へびの心臓』は、国内外で上演を重ねている。「どこからかの惑星から落下してきたようなダンス界のアンファン・テリブル」（Dance New Air 2014/石井達朗氏）とも紹介されるその活動は、劇場にとどまらず、屋外やライブイベントでのパフォーマンス、映像制作、弾き語りライブ、自作品の音楽制作、レース編みなど多彩に展開。
2014年『インナーマミー』初演、トヨタコレオグラフィーアワード 2014「次代を担う振付家賞」及び「オーディエンス賞」、横浜ダンスコレクション EX 2015「審査員賞」及び「若手振付家のための在日フランス大使館賞」を受賞後、渡仏。フランス国立ダンスセンター・CCN/Rを拠点に半年間のレジデンスを行い、「地獄に咲く花 (LA FLEUR ÉCLÔT EN ENFER)」を発表。

わたしの うちと そとで
100kgを超える太った身体を巧みに使いこなすパフォーマー、俳優。器用に演じる・上手く役に成りきる、といった一般的な演技観とは真逆の、自らの身体を通した「自分の生き恥を晒す」かのようなパフォーマンスは、観る者に圧倒的な衝撃を与える。舞台上ところ狭しと七転八倒する姿は切実であり、しかしどこかユーモラスでもある。アジア・ヨーロッパ各国で上演してきた本作品は、ハプニングを捲き込み、即興を重ね、様々な変遷をたどりながらもなお変化の途上にある。考えるより先に身体が〈始めてしまう〉佐々木のパフォーマンスの原点でもある。
パフォーマンスグループ「OM-2」に演出補佐で参加した後、99年『Circulate-1』にて俳優としてデビュー。以後「OM-2」の全作品に出演。また、「OM-2」の活動とは別にソロ・パフォーマーとして、ダンスフェスティバル「ダンスがみたい！」や「芸術見本市ショーケース(特別招聘)」、「韓日アートリレー(ソウル)」等にも参加している。佐々木が出演した「カイロ国際実験演劇祭」では、【最優秀作品賞】を受賞した。

お題、「白鳥の湖」。
ダンスを刺激するダンスフェスティバル「ダンスがみたい！」は本開催で19回目。今回は、10のダンサー/ダンスカンパニーによるチャイコフスキー「白鳥の湖」だけの連続上演です。今、この時代の最先端に立ち、ダンサー・振付家達が、「ダンスがみたい！」の土俵で挑みます。コンペティション「新人シリーズ15」の受賞2作品の再演を含み、全12団体により構成されたダンスの祭典となります。

Using adhesive tape, Maki Morishita marks out a square 1.5 by 1.5 metres on the stage. She performs in this space, responding to orders that are delivered off-stage, executing them in a docile, resigned way. Little by little, the orders become increasingly absurd and her movements coalesce into an original, irreverent dance that is full of derision. ‘When I worked at the reception desk of a large insurance company, my body and my mind were imprisoned there because of the pressure of the social conventions. My only moments of freedom were when I was dancing in the lift or in the toilets. These little private spaces of fered me an unlimited expanse where my imagination could take flight. That’s what enabled me to remain calm until the day I left the company. The security guard told me that he was sorry that I had left because he could no longer watch me dance. I didn’t know that the lift was fitted with a camera. ’
Maki Morishita has been creating solo works since 2003. Several of her works have been presented in Korea, Italy, Belgium and Fin-land. She is also an actor and singer in the group Fruity.

In Alphard, she divides the stage into nine squares that light up one after the other, each revealing a different musical universe. She goes from one to the next, each new space imposing its body grammar. A work of total mastery and insolent inventiveness, Alphard is the work of a complete artist who created the choreography and also composed the music, in addition to performing it herself.
Mikiko Kawamura began street dancing at the age of sixteen. She then trained at the Japan Women’s College of Physical Education. The works of this precocious, highly talented artist won all the major choreography prizes in Japan before being performed internationally. In 2011Mikiko Kawamura, then aged twenty-one, received the prize for best young choreographer at the Yokohama Dance Collection.

In Good Luck, Takao Kawaguchi takes thirty minutes to perform a scene from an imaginary film lasting three minutes. The movements of his body follow the rhythms of sounds recorded in a metro station, a temple, a forest, and so on. They modify our perception of space and time. Just as cinema creates an impression of movement from static images, Kawaguchi gives new meaning to gestures by breaking them down. ‘Our world lives at an unprecedented speed. We do not know where we are going. We have reached a point where we have to slow down, stop even. A new journey is now beginning, one that will not be easy. I wish everyone Good Luck for this journey.’
Takao Kawaguchi was formerly a member of the subversive collective Dumb Type, which explored the fields of performance and new media. For several years, he has been exploring the realms of theatre, the visual arts and dance through inspired, activist performances. After creating About Kazuo Ohno, Kawaguchi worked on Touch of the Other, which was inspired by a sociological study of the sexual relations between men in public toilets in the1960s. Takao Kawaguchi was the director of the Tokyo International Festival of Gay and Lesbian Film in Tokyo from 1996 to 1999.
In this year’s Camping, he is presenting Good Luck.

コンテンポラリーダンスの森下真樹、ヒップホップ出身の川村美紀子、パフォーマーの川口隆夫。日本発、三者三様のソロが一晩で楽しめるイベント、Tokyo Danceにようこそ !
本公演は、ＣＮＤ（国立ダンスセンター）が主催するダンス・フェスティバルCAMPINGとタイアップして開催される。
森下真樹「東京コシツ」
1.5m平方の「コシツ」で展開される奇妙なダンス。成分表示なのか指令なのか、流れている女性の機械的な声に翻弄されるダンサー。やがて音声が動きになり、動きが言葉になっていく。加速されていくコミカルな姿勢に、都会のコシツに潜む孤独が重なっていく。10分でありながら、ダンスだけでなく、森下真樹の語感・空気感・演技力が存分に発揮される作品。今回は初のフランス語版として、テキスト・振りともに作り直した新しいバージョンとなる。
川村美紀子「へびの心臓」
闇のなかに浮かび上がる9つのスペースに川村美紀子が入ると、それぞれ異なる音楽が流れる。その音楽は川村の内的世界を象徴するかのように、多様性に満ち、感覚に直結した動きを生み出す。まさに生物の内臓に入り込んだかのようなドロドロとした直截的な表現。ストリートでダンスを学び、そこで習得した技術を自身の感性でコンテンポラリーダンスに昇華させた川村美紀子。横浜ダンス・コレクションEX2011で新人振付家部門・最優秀新人賞を受賞したことをきっかけに翌年に発表した作品で、いわゆる代表作である。
川口隆夫「グッドラック」
今回のフェスティバルCAMPINGでは「スロー」をテーマに5日間のワークショップを行う川口隆夫。Good Luck は３分の映画のシーンを想定し、３０分に引き伸ばしたパフォーマンスである。映画は１秒間に２４コマあるいは３０コマの静止画を連続再生したものである。人間の目もそのようにして運動を知覚認識し、脳で補正をして運動として認識している。そのことに基づいて、人の動き（運動）を解体し、再構築することをここ10年、川口隆夫は行ってきた。David Vrankenが作った、日常を想起させる音響とあいまって、解体された動きをみる我々はそれぞれ異なるイメージを立ち上げることになるであろう。

Une soirée de trois solos de Maki Morishita, Mikiko Kawamura et Takao Kawaguchi. Trois danseurs chorégraphes de Tokyo, trois facettes de la danse contemporaine made in Japan !
Un carré d’1,5 m de côté, délimité par des bandes adhésives. Dans cette surface exiguë, une femme répète inlassablement les mêmes mouvements au rythme d’une voix off débitant des instructions absurdes. Mais le flot de paroles de plus en plus rapide transforme cette succession de gestes mécaniques en une danse grotesque. Dans Tokyo /Espace personnel, Maki Morishita s’inspire de son quotidien avec un sens aigu de la dérision.
Alphard est une étoile solitaire, la plus brillante de la constellation de l’Hydre. C’est aussi le titre du solo de Mikiko Kawamura. La scène est divisée en neuf carrés de lumière qui, l’un après l’autre, surgissent de l’obscu rité, à chacun de ces carrés correspondant un univers musical différent. Kawamura danse de l’un à l’autre, et nous hypnotise avec son style fluide, précis et dyna mique. Étoile éblouissante, elle a reçu le prix du meilleur jeune chorégraphe au Yokohama Dance Collection EX 2011. Elle avait alors 21 ans.
Takao Kawaguchi se produit dans le monde entier en tant que membre du subversif collectif Dumb Type de 1996 à 2008. Conjuguant théâtre, danse, arts visuels et plastiques, il crée ensuite de nombreux solos, notamment sur l’homosexualité, et deux pièces en hommage à deux fondateurs du buto : Kazuo Ohno et Tatsumi Hijikata. Dans Good Luck, il interprète en 30 minutes une scène de film imaginaire de 3 minutes. Les mouvements de son corps épousent les rythmes des sons enregistrés dans une station de métro, un temple, une forêt… Ce solo modifie notre perception de l’espace et du temps, comme si nous regardions un film au ralenti.

YOKOHAMA DANCE COLLECTION
1996年、「若手振付家の発掘・育成」と「コンテンポラリーダンスの普及」を目指しスタートした「横浜ダンスコレクション」。このフェスティバルの基軸であるコンペティションは、時代を共有して身体と表現に新たな視線を向けるアーティストによる「振付」の独自性に価値を置いています。
22年目を迎える2017年開催では、横浜美術館と連携して、2016年10月〜12月まで横浜美術館で開催する企画展『BODY/PLAY/POLITICS』と共通テーマで、世界的に活躍するアーティストによる作品上演や、アジアのダンスフェスティバルとの協働プロジェクトをもう一つの基軸に、アジアのダンスプラットフォームとして、多彩なプログラムを開催します。

「ダンスクロス」は、横浜ダンスコレクションにおける「若手振付家のための在日フランス大使館賞」受賞者のフランスレジデンスおよび成果発表をはじめ、日仏の振付家支援プログラムとして、2007年よりアンスティチュ・フランセ日本および横浜とのパートナーシップにより実施されています。
「アジアセレクション」は、横浜ダンスコレクションを通じて、国内外で活躍する振付家が、アジアのパートナーと共にレジデンスや作品制作を行うプログラムです。2017年は、韓国「Seoul Performing Arts Festival」との協働、またシンガポール「M1 CONTACT」との協働による作品上演を行います。

1990年生まれ、16歳からダンスを始める。日本女子体育大学（舞踊学専攻）卒業。2011年より本格的に作品創りに取り組み、『へびの心臓』(2012)、『まぼろしの夜明け』(2015)等を発表。「どこからかの惑星から落下してきたようなダンス界のアンファン・テリブル」（Dance New Air 2014/石井達朗氏）とも紹介されるその活動は、劇場にとどまらず、屋外やライブイベントでのパフォーマンス、映像制作、弾き語りライブ、自作品の音楽制作、レース編みなど、表現活動を多彩に展開。2013-16年度(公財)セゾン文化財団ジュニア・フェロー。

N///K主催。横浜ダンスコレクション2013にて「若手振付家のための在日フランス大使館賞」「MASDANZA賞」、同年インターナショナル・コンテンポラリーダンス・フェスティバルMASDANZAに招聘され「審査員賞」を受賞後、スペイン、パナマ、シンガポール、マレーシア、韓国等のダンスフェスティバルに参加。現在、東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科先端藝術専攻に在籍し身体芸術の可能性を探求する。

ツオ・ツーハオ Zhuo Zihao
ダンサー・振付家。シンガポールのラサール芸術大学と香港演芸学院でコンテンポラリーダンスを学ぶ。オデッセイ・ダンスシアターのレジデント・アーティストを経験。T.H.Eダンスカンパニー創設メンバーとして、2008年創設以来の全作品に出演。2012年、シンガポール芸術協会より「若手アーティスト賞」を受賞。2016年ダンスアーティストとして独立し、T.H.Eダンスカンパニーのアソシエイト・アーティストに指名される。

長野県出身、幼少よりクラシックバレエを始め、大学在学中にソロやデュオ作品を発表。 2011年よりKENTARO!!主宰の東京ELECTROCK STAIRSのメンバーとして国内外の公演に出演。 近年はパリ、フィレンツェ、モンペリエなど海外ダンスフェスティバルより招聘。横浜ダンスコレクション2016ではファイナリスト選出、「まどろみのしろ」を上演した。

ユン・ボラム Jun Boram
ソンギュングァン大学を卒業後、Arzidダンスカンパニーにダンサーとして参加。近年は、一般的な所作と運動のあわいに着目し、直接的な動作や多様性との遭遇を探求する。動作に明らかな動機があることを志向している。2015年ソウルダンスコレクション受賞振付家。

1992年新潟県生まれ。京都造形芸術大学でダンスを学ぶ。在学中に自身の創作活動を始めるため、＜Dance Project Revo＞を立ち上げ、現代を吸収してオリジナルな振付け作品作りを追求する。また、誰もがダンスを楽しめることを目指す<ムロタムラ>では関西地域の福祉施設や保育所を訪ね、ダンスを発表したり教える活動を行っている。
